This week has been a week of firsts - first week of university, first time clubbing, first time skating, first time i've begun reading again after the last text i read which was prescribed for High School English. I suppose it isn't too late to learn something new ("you can't teach old dogs new tricks" is a very deceitful saying) and it isn't too late to pick up a ex-hobby. University, well that's been a eye-opening experience indeed since no longer are you spoon-fed or looked after, everything is autonomous - scraping in that pass, or failing epically. This will definitely be an interesting year filled with renewed experiences.
So how do i describe my first time clubbing? Well, if you were to know me, you would know that clubbing is definitely not one of the things i do in my past-time, in fact it is universally known that i have two left feet and well, rigorous activity like dancing causes waterfalls of sweat. Nevertheless, i got dragged into clubbing this particular night, on a Thursday of all nights! One must ask the logic behind putting it on such a night when most people have university or work on Friday but in any case, this particular event supposedly happens only once every month and it was definitely a crazy experience. After pres (the time where you get two bottles of jack and just get drunk off your face prior to entering the club) at this karaoke bar in the city, it was time to stagger drunkenly along the streets and into a bus stopping close to this club. It was definitely rather high tech, after being metal detected, my ID was then actually scanned and a UV stamp was put on my arm for entry. I was finally in the club and well, it was time to attempt to dance. Now if you actually step back a second and observe the behaviour of a club, it is rather interesting. You will see a lot of guys attempt to show off their moves by themselves in corners, others trying to show off to girls who then just walk on, and some guys who have succeeded in their mating dance and are now making out with a girl. I was the second type of guy and i have to say that i probably got all the girls of the club to walk away from me over the night. Regardless, it was definitely interesting, as for fun, well let's just say there are funner things in life.
So on the other end of the spectrum i finally picked up a book that i can actually read about - essentially a whiny young adult male discussing 'what ifs' since he just went through a near-death experience and basically questioning his entire existence. I don't know what about them gets me but i seem to love whiny young adult males with the likes of Holden Caulfield and actually, even whiny females seem to entice me since i did read the entire Twilight series. Well in any case, hopefully i get back into reading and in particular my boring Biology textbook which i actually fell asleep to in a university library for about two hours. Yes, nothing has really changed as i still find it hard to stay awake in lectures, as in boring school lessons, and still find myself socially awkward as hell, just like in high school. Nothing really changes and when things do change, you always seem to be doing the same things again eventually.
Tired from sleeping twelve hours so bye.
