The winter rain, omnious and dull, nonetheless has shone through many important lessons. The onslaught of study has not produced the spoils expected for many people including me. Terrible results in all subjects has taught me a lesson that i should pay a lot more attention to many aspects of my life that need improving.
Wasting time playing in class (getting 100% in all levels in Peggle does not count as a waste of time) when that time could be better spent learning about topics that could possibly acheive greater returns come test time. The countless hours spent mindlessly watching television shows (list of mindful shows for reference: Gossip Girl, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Glee, NCIS) which actually suck but are getting ratings because idiots (like myself) have nothing better to do. Time is something that just does not rewind.
With winter also comes earlier darkness both in the morning and at dusk, which proves quite a formidable enemy to waking up on time. For the past few weeks, it has been quite a challenge waking in time for school (forever in debt to a friend who constantly signs me in so i'm never late) but has made weights in the morning near impossible. This too must change otherwise Scrievner might just kick my ass out of first grade.
What's most alarming is that today, it just wasn't me that was depressed about the marks obtained. A certain person actually joked about comitting suicide, the distribing thing however was that he was half-serious as well. Sure enough, when times are tough, it's not worth it to quit, you just got to keep on pushing through regardless of how bad it is: whether it be study or sport, or anything in life.
These half-yearlies have definitely been a wake-up call for me personally but i'm sure that many other people have also woken from an ego-fuelled slumber. Now the question now remains: have i woken in time or have i wasted too much time already?
Moaning about results and watching Gossip Girl (my guilty pleasure) to forget my troubles so bye.
