Sometimes life feels like crossing a river with a dangerous current. There are stepping stones to help you get to the other side of utilitarian accomplishment but sometimes, the gaps between stones are such that one must consider before jumping blindly and getting swept away into an undesirable current of despair.
Life never has a distinct path to take but often there are times where many options are avaliable for one to take. They also vary in jumping distance: one is close, one midway and one far, far away. One must decide whether or not it is worth risking it for the far one. It is the decision of choosing which courses in university i am distinctly referencing to. This one decision could ultimately decide not only the next four to six years of study but also the rest of your life. It will be the biggest decision since high school and even then, my mother made all the decisions basically. With so much pressure is it any wonder many young adults are undecided?
One another note, life is also sometimes much like a poker game. You have to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em although honestly i probably only brought this up because of my loss in a poker game recently. It is the first time i've not placed since the institution of the poker night ritual. Clearly i just didn't make the right decisions then again i can always make Lady Luck the scapegoat. She never seems to visit when it matters. Let's hope for the more important choice, i do make the right one and a little sprinkle of luck won't hurt.
School's looming after a week of vacation so bye.
